The Colourstrings Method

Etelka is very excited to be introducing Colourstrings to the Edmonton region.  It is an innovative European approach to music and instrumental teaching centred around the child.  By building music literacy with a unique colourful and simplified notation, singing using Kodály handsigns and solfège syllables (do, re, mi), and mastering difficult technical requirements of the instrument at an early age in a playful way, the child develops a firm and a well-rounded musical foundation.  Etelka uses Colourstrings/Colour Keys with beginner string and piano students aged about 4 to 6.
